PROJECT 1: Create a Creature

First post, here goes...

This is the project I've been looking forward to, and have so many ideas for it that it's scary. The brief is dauntingly vague, but allows me freedom to go in any direction I choose. I've been watching a lot of David Attenborough documentaries in preparation and have some experience in making up strange creatures, so I think the environment and evolution elements are going to be the more difficult parts to string together. I still feel these are the first things I should nail down, so that I have a frame of reference before embarking on the concept stage of my design process.
